Content: Picture caption: "Wochenlang haben die Zeitungen der Demokratien gelogen, daß der Westwall vom Hochwasser des Rheins bedroht sei. Die Wirklichkeit sah anders aus. Hier ein französischer Bunker, der wegen des hohen Wasserstandes geräumt werden mußte.
Content: The WestWall (or "Siegfried Line") was the chain of German fortifications that parallelled the French Maginot Line along the border between the two countries.
