This performance was part of a program celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company. The recording begins with Merce Cunningham and James Hall, Isaac Mizrahi, Robert Heishman and others casting dice to determine the order of music for the evening's program. The performance of Fluid canvas begins at 5 min. into the disc. The recording of Split sides is incomplete and ends abruptly.
