Content: Handwritten notes on original container and reel: "right track: drum stick on gong 12'15" ; left track: 4 cans on window glass 13'05" ; 1. Half-track Stereo 2. Quarter-track Stereo ; La Monte Young & Terry Riley, performers ; right channel: low sound ; left channel: high sound".
Content: Contains the sound elements to be played for performances of Merce Cunningham's Winterbranch (1964). According to David Vaughan's book, Merce Cunningham: 50 Years (Aperture: New York, 1997), the dance begins in silence for several minutes and then the sound element is played.
