Content: Fanny Elssler posed in fourth position pointe tendue, left foot forward, left arm raised above her head, right hand extended to left, holding castanets, head tilted toward right; wearing Spanish costume. The background consists of a spouting fountain in a garden in which couples lounge, and an archway from which two gentlemen watch the dance.
