Content: Printed on image: "Soft slim straight-line coat. Cord on shoulders continues into loop for closing at neck. Shirring beneath cord." "Designed by Pearl Alexander" "André 570 - 7th Avenue New York City December 16, 1940"
Content: The shoulder cord gives this coat a military or drum-major accent. The closing made with the cord ends is probably a "frog", a fastening in which a loop passes over a knot or button.
Date: Illustration origninally bound in Spring, 1940-1941.
