Venue: Videotaped in rehearsal at the Cunningham studio, Westbeth, New York City, on Oct. 17, 1989.
Biographical/historical: August pace and Inventions both premiered on Sept. 22, 1989 at the University of California at Berkeley, with musical scores by Michael Pugliese (August pace) and John Cage (Inventions). Field and figures premiered on Feb. 18, 1989 at the Walker Art Center, with a musical score by Ivan Tcherepnin.
