Notes
Content: [Transcribed from periodical clipping on verso]: The Great Highway Bridge Across the Mobile Bay, Dedicated on June 14: Under the leadership of Harry T Hartwell of Mobile, with the corporation of the municipal government and civic bodies, the Cochrane Bridge and Causeway, more than ten miles long, has been completed as the most striking feature of the great highway, known as the Spanish Trail, stretching from Jacksonville across northern Florida to Pensacola and thence to New Orleans and the Western Coast. The so-called Riviera Highway is to follow the Gulf coastline more closely and will rival the Spanish Trail in interest and importance. Skirting the eastern shore of Mobile Bay, it will also utilize the Cochrane Bridge.
