Description
"The photograph exhibits infinitely better than language can describe the magnificence of the throne room of the palace. The ceiling is an example of the most artistic decorations that distinguish the Fontainebleau school of French and Italian artists, and is probably the finest piece of ornamentation done during the reign of Francis I. From the centre hangs a chandelier made of rock crystal, which, when lighted, produces a dazzling effect."--printed on border with additional text.
