Description
A satire against President Andrew Jackson by political caricaturist Henry R. Robinson. During Celeste's second tour of the United States, she is said to have attracted the favorable attention of Jackson. She is seen dancing at the White House; Dickenson, Butler, Cars, Jackson, Kendal, Woodbury and Van Buren seated in a semi-circle (l. to r.); Mme Celeste three-quarter rear view, on left pointe, right leg extended.
