Notes
Content: Printed on border: "1. This is Professor Anser, LL.D., who has made a life study of the language of the apes. He has erected a cage on the dark continent, where he hopes to be able to study monkey habits, and to converse with them in their native tongue. ; 2. After a couple of hours of patient waiting, he is gratified beyond expression by the appearance of a fine specimen of female chimpanzee, and he hails her with a 'Good morning!' 3. His knowledge of the tongue is an unparalleled success, and upon his inviting his new acquaintance to 'shake' the result is very gratifying."
