Content: Written on border: "Sept. 18, 1875" Printed on border: "Nos. 1 and 1a. Description of our cut paper pattern of a Paris petticoat and tournure in one. The upper part only of the petticoat is given, but it is easy to button on the lower part, which may be made as a flounce, either of white cambric trimmed with tucks and embroidery, or of any striped fabric, and a thick coloured material might be substituted for winter wear." "No. 2. Matelassé jacket. Black matelassé, trimmed with guipure. The jacket fits the figure at the back and is loose in front; it has demi-wide sleeves and pointed pockets, trimmed in the same manner. Pattern, 2s. 7d." Includes additional text.
