Content: Printed on border: "In 1675 the Virginia colony was again in danger from Indian raids. The settlers asked Governor Berkeley for aid, but he refused -- as shown here. However, troops were raised under Nathaniel Bacon. When Berkeley called this action treason, Bacon seized and burned Jamestown. Known as Bacon's Rebellion it collapsed when Bacon died."
