Description
Manuscript poem (fragment) written in ink on a scrap of white paper, undated. Verso is currently inaccessible because the manuscript is pasted down at both its left and right sides onto the larger blank leaf to which it is mounted. Cf. “Song of Myself” (1855), section 5, line 111. In Volume I of: Walt Whitman. Holograph manuscript fragments assembled by Dr. Richard Maurice Bucke.
