Ray, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of War, found that integration of white and Negro civilian workers at the field had been accomplished without fanfare. Above a P-80 pilot tells Mr. Ray about the Air Force's newest plane. Left to right: Al Dunmore, Ohio editor of the Pittsburgh Courier; Chauncey Spencer, Racial Relations Advisor at Wright Field; the P-80 pilot and Mr. Ray; Leon Taylor, Ohio representative of the Associated Negro Press and Jake Gaitor, instructor at Wilberforce University. 8-1-46."
