Ownership: Owned (16th c.) by the "Conventus Ratisbonensis Carmelitarum Discalceatorum" (f.1). Joseph Barrois collection; sold 1849 to Earl of Ashburnham; his sale to Maggs, 1901. Given by Mrs. F. F. Thompson, 1923.
Content: 1 large miniature of crucifixion; many illuminated initials; border decoration include animal figures.
Content: Large initials (5-line, 7-line etc.) in many colors -- green, blue, orange, gold -- on elaborate multi-colored fields. Designs extend into border. Rubrics, 1-, 2- and 3-line red and blue initials with opposing color penwork, daubs of red as placemarkers.
