Content: "The figurative map of Hendricks is the first manuscript map on which the name 'Manhattes' occurs. 'Manhattes' is shown as separated from Long Island, but it is not represented as an island. In this respect Hendricks's version marks a retrogression from the Block figurative map. Another difference from the two is the appearance here for the first time of the name 'Sandhoeck' (Sandy Hook), which was called 'Sandpunt' on the eaarlier map."
