Excerpts of dances from thirteen West African countries, including many different ethnic groups. Types of dances include initiation, courting, marriage, fertility, and funeral dances; mask, acrobatic, stick, sword, and animal dances. The tape concludes with footage, filmed on location in Senegal, of the annual lion festival of the Wolof people.
