Biographical/historical: Arsinoe, regina di Cassandrèa (choreography and scenario, Giacomo Serafini) was first presented in Milan in 1833, and in Turin in 1836. This print was published at the time of the latter production.

Set design? from Giacomo Serafini's ballet Arsinoe, regina di Cassandrèa, lithographed by Scioli after Fabrizio Sevesi. It depicts a plaza with triumphal columns at left, and various buildings in the classical style at right and in the background. The scene is populated by a sprinkling of figures in tunics, and a helmeted soldier with spear and shield.
