Content: Outdoor setting: trees, fountain at left, inn at background center with sign "Herberge der Aschen-Leute." A group of diminutive people, carrying barrels on their backs and holding chimney scrapers, stand before the inn. Harlequin, Colombine and Pierrot at right. A woman at left peers through her lorgnette at a full-grown chimney sweep.
