Physical Description
Videocassette
Extent: 1 videocassette (U-matic) (52 min.) : sound, color ; 3/4 in.
Description
Mikhail Baryshnikov, Simone Forti, Deborah Hay, and White Oak Dance Project in performance. Four works are from PAST Forward, a retrospective and celebration of Judson Dance where dance alternates with video sequences created by Charles Atlas. These works are bracketed with a quick description by its choreographer. Public participation is part of the program: local dancers and community members take part in "The Matter". This recording begins with an improvisation: the untitled work, by Simone Forti, is informed by audience suggestions. Poor visual quality; the audio ends several minutes before the video portion.
