Description
The 1st part of the recording (22 minutes) contains identification tones and effects for the radio station WFBR Baltimore that utilize various sounds to underscore the dramatic content of the conveyed information such as weather and traffic reports, news, announcements etc. The application of recognizable sounds associated with words illustrates the utility of such presentations. This part of the recording includes Eric Siday introducing more electronic tones. It is followed by the 2nd part (27 minutes) that consists of the news of the day, the weather forecast reported by Ron Gold, and excerpts from 2 radio programs: "Spinning Roundtable" hosted by Joe Knight and "Rainbow sound" hosted by Jack Willows all of which also demonstrate the implementation of electronic sounds and tones.
