Content: Note on original container: stage right.
Venue: Videotaped in rehearsal at the Cunningham studio, Westbeth, New York City, Aug. 16, 1985.
Biographical/historical: Arcade was commissioned by the Pennsylvania Ballet and premiered Sept. 1985 at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia; Arcade was first performed by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company in November, 1985 at the University of Pennsylvania. Arcade had a musical score by John Cage.
