Mary Hinkson speaks with Agnes de Mille about first meeting Martha Graham when she came to New York; her early training with Margaret H'Doubler in Wisconsin; the company [Martha Graham Dance Company] in the 1950s; Graham's return to teaching after a serious injury; performing in lecture-demonstrations; teaching to make ends meet; Graham's relationship with her dancers; Erick Hawkins as a teacher; Graham's coaching her, verbally, in Canticle for innocent comedians [ends abruptly].
