Biographical/historical: Pooh Kaye is a choreographer and filmmaker who was born in Argentina in 1951. She studied art at Cooper Union, and began making dances and films in 1975. Her ongoing interest in non-dance movement, a movement derived from individuals rather than from traditional techniques, led to the formation of her company, Eccentric Motions, in 1983. Eccentric Motions has performed nationally and internationally, and Kaye’s stop‐motion films have won prizes and been exhibited internationally.
