Content: An album containing 12 unnumbered pages of lithographed letterpress (4 incorporating mounted photographs) and 22 unnumbered leaves of mounted photographs. Leaf 1: invitation to club meeting on recto, verso blank; leaf 2: recto blank, portrait of club president Frederick Pollock on verso; leaf 3: illustrated half title on recto, verso blank; leaf 4: title page on recto, group portrait and imprint on verso; leaf 5: list of members on recto, landscape photograph and quotation on verso; leaf 6 recto and verso and leaf 7 recto, club rules; leaf 7 verso, quotation; leaves 8-28: member portrait on recto, verso blank (includes group portrait on leaf 20); leaf 29: group portrait and quotation on recto, sun ornament and quotation on verso. Except for leaf 1, letterpress is lithographed in gold and brown and is surrounded by an ornamental frame printed in gold; illustrated half title is lithographed in black, blue and gold. Album leaves are of stiff paper, attached to the binding with canvas-reinforced stubs.
Content: Photographs are chiefly albumen prints; a few are salted paper prints. In all there are 21 member portraits and 1 large group portrait, each mounted on an otherwise blank leaf, and 4 small photographs vignetted within decorative lithographed borders, each mounted on a page containing letterpress. The small vignetted photographs comprise 2 group portraits, a photograph of a landscape with a man and a child in a boat and a photograph of a sun ornament; sizes are 49 x 62 mm (leaf 4 verso); diameter 85 mm (leaf 5 verso); 65 x 85 mm (leaf 29 recto); and diameter 40 mm (leaf 29 verso). The portrait of F. Pollock on leaf 2 verso is 23 x 18 cm; sizes of other member portraits are approximately 13 x10 cm to 20 x 16 cm; 2 are oval, the others rectangular (some with rounded corners; one with image as oval vignette).

James McCosh is also in the list, but according to a footnote, he is no longer a member, Joseph Durham having replaced him, and Durham's portrait appears in the place of McCosh's. Portraits of all other members are included, in alphabetical order except for club president Pollock; Montizón appears only in the group portrait on leaf 20.
Content: Group portrait on leaf 20 shows 5 men, a woman and a sheepdog by a building entrance; includes Diamond, Delamotte, Forrester and Montizón. Group portrait on leaf 4 verso shows Diamond, Mackinlay and a third person with photographic plates. Group portrait on leaf 29 recto, with legend "Hampton Court July 18th 1856," shows members and their wives in an outdoor setting; it is by Roger Fenton and was exhibited at the Photographic Society about 1856. Members shown are Fenton, Bedford, Diamond, Hardwich, Parker, Frederick Pollock, Henry Pollock, both J.R. Majors, Mackinlay and Turner; in background, the photographic van Fenton used in the Crimea.
