Description
Theatrical designer George W. Harris (George William Harris), was born in Warwick, England in 1878. He designed both sets and costumes for numerous British productions and repertory companies during the early part of the Twentieth century. Harris died in 1929. Actress Marguerite Moreton toured with Peter Pan as Wendy, ca. 1920-1926. Original color costume designs for the 1924 Broadway production of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, by George W. Harris, and costume designs for an unidentified production, possibly London, by Marguerite Moreton, ca. 1924. Includes 52 drawings; there are also separate sheets of descriptive notes for many of Harris' costume designs; Moreton's notes appear below her designs on the boards on which they are mounted.
