Content: "At the Central School, Sanctuary, Westminster, all the regulations respecting needle-work, and knitting, are formed on the principles of the Madras system, as taught in Dr. Bell's Manual of instructions, (1827); and the afternoons are devoted to work. The children are classed according to their proficiency in needle-work, &c., in the usual manner, with benches on three sides of a square" -- page [3].
