Biographical/historical: The event, known as "Death of a Hippie," was a mock-funeral procession organized by Peter Berg and held one year after California banned LSD.
Biographical/historical: Copies of these small handbills were displayed in many Haight-Ashbury storefronts in the days leading up to the event.
