Description
An album of mounted photographs depicting the mining camp of Frank E. Downs during the gold rush in Nome, Alaska. The photos were taken May-September 1900 and later complied by his sister Florence Emlyn Downs Muzzy in 1903-1904 in Bristol, Connecticut. The album also includes photographs taken in western and southwestern United States, Mexico, Maine and the Netherlands. There are handwritten captions for each photograph.
