Content: Binding, by David, of red morocco-gilt; int he blue morocco case.
Content: Comprises 211 emblems.
Content: Illustrations: 133 small woodcuts (including 6 repeats). Two (accompanying emblems 113 and 135) are signed with themonogram of Virgil Solis, to whom all the cuts are generally attributed. Most of the cuts were used also in the Latin-German editions of Frankfort, 1566 and 1580, andthe Latin edition of Frankfort, 1583.
