Last leaf blank.
Content: Illustrations: 419 woodcuts, comprising 418 full-page cuts, for the most part full-length figures of men and women, and one vignette; woodcut head- and tail-pieces, initials and four-piece borders (with numerous repeats) around the title, half-titles and full-page cuts. The printer's device is part of the title border. The woodcuts, designed by Cesare Vecellio, were cut by "Christoforo Guerra, thedesco, da Norimbergo," (cf. f. 155 and 200) who probably is identical with Christoph Chrieger (cf. Thieme-Becker). Although in the third edition, 1664, the designs are ascribed to Titian, his participation is improbable.
