The main part of the manuscript was written in England. The fragment of text on f. 102r-v has generally been assigned to the 14th century. The fragment on f. 103 is a recipe written in English, dated to the 15th century by Francis Wormald.

Ownership: Acquired for Spencer from Erwin Rosenthal, Berkeley CA, and accessioned in 1950.
Citation/reference: Formerly this ms. thought to be French; it is now considered of English origin. In Lewis article, p. 252, this ms. compared to the Milmete group incl. Oxford, Christ Church Ms. 92, dated 1326-7, and to Oxford, New College Ms. 65.

Red and blue initials with opposing-color penwork. Occasional red linefillers; red symbols and red daubs as placemarkers.
